ENGRMAE 259 Mechanical Behavior of Solids – Atomistic Theories (Credit Units: 4) Presents a continuum, macroscopic view of deformation and failure of solids. The course covers elasticity, plasticity, visco-elasticity, visco-plasticity, fracture and fatigue. Topics include discussions of physical behavior, mathematical formalism and measurement techniques.
