ENGRCEE 275 Topics in Coastal Engineering (Credit Units: 4) Linear wave theory. Wave properties: particle kinematics, energy propagation, shoaling, refraction, reflection, diffraction, and breaking. Wave statistics and spectra. Selected topics from: design of coastal structures; harbor engineering; littoral transport and shoreline morphology; and hydrodynamics of estuaries. Prerequisite: CEE11 and CEE171. Graduate students only. (Design units: 0)
