Lecture Topics:

Review of basic transmission line concepts, presentations of two-port networks. Matching Network and signal flow graphs. Hybrid circuit design; Stability theory for microwave two port networks; Noise theory for two port networks; Low noise microwave amplifiers design; Multiple stage amplifier design; Introduction to broadband amplifier design; Introduction to power amplifiers. Total lecture hours: 30.

Approach:

The design methodologies of wireless system on a single chip will be the emphasis of the class. The analytical tools to approach the design of a wireless system on a chip and possible trade-off between different system parameters will be discussed in the class.
