CHEM 1B General Chemistry (Credit Units: 4) Properties of gases, liquids, solids; changes of state; properties of solutions; stoichiometry; thermochemistry; and thermodynamics. Corequisite: CHEM M2LB for CHEM majors only; no corequisite for other majors. Prerequisite: CHEM 1A with a grade of C- or better. Majors in Schools of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Engineering, and majors in Nursing Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health Sciences, and Undecided/Undeclared students have first consideration for enrollment. Only one course form CHEM 1B and CHEM H2B. (Design units: 0)
