BME 60B Engineering Analysis/Design: Data Analysis (Credit Units: 4) Overview of MATLAB; numeric, cell, and structure arrays; file management; plotting and model building; solving linear algebraic equations; differential equations; symbolic processing. Prerequisite: BME60A and Mathematics 3A. Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering: Premedical majors have first consideration for enrollment. Only one course from BME 60B, ENGRCEE 20 may be taken for credit. (Design units: 1)

Class Schedule:

Meets for 3 hours of lecture and 1 hour of discussion each week for 10 weeks.

Computer Usage:

MATLAB R2012 (earlier version might be fine, but requires Signal Processing and Image Processing toolboxes).

Design Content Description

Students will use MATLAB to develop software to analyze quantitatively the performance of various system designs, including ones from BME 60A.
